GD Aparatos attended the first edition of the Alternative vehicle and fuel show celebrated in Valladolid from the 5th to the 7th November 2009 with the main brands and the most advanced vehicles, innovations and last trends.

In this line we presented Chemtane V, a new additive for autogas essential to avoid the negative effects generated in the medium term by LPG in the internal combustion vehicles, such as valve wear, deposit formation and water accumulation in tank and fuel system.

LPG, through the AOGLP (LPG Spanish Association), was presented as the most powerful alternative. Its long term goal is reaching a 10% of the fuel market before 2020. Achieving this level would mean a diminution of 314 M tones of CO2 that would not be dumped into the atmosphere, a reduction of 20.300 M € in general costs (steamed from climate change, pollution, public health and other negative consequences) and a 41.000 M € saving in the end users pocket.

LPG is considered to be a clean energy because it generates 96% less of NOx (nitrous oxide) than diesel and 68% less than gasoline. In an urban environment, NOx emissions and autogas vehicle particles are practically nonexistent. Autogas also contributes to mitigate climate change reducing in 44% CO2 emissions compared to traditional fossil fuel (diesel and gasoline).

In short, LPG guarantees a more secure and diversified energetic mix that is also a more economical alternative for the end user. Its availability, its solid supplied expectancies and the application of favorable fiscal taxes make this environmental friend alternative an affordable and interesting option for the end user, since the LPG price is only 54% of other standard fuels (gasoline and diesel).  

LPG, labeled as the main fuel alternative in Europe according to the report “Autogas, the sustainable alternative”, is ready to increase its contribution into a more diverse, flexible, clean and economical system.
